My New Painting Space!

Postby WWIICentral » Wed Jan 06, 2010 3:13 am

Hi All,

I thought I would share a photo of my newly organized painting space. I would call it "MY" painting room but I share it with the Washer and Dryer :D Still, it's nice to have a little space to paint in and I finally have all my "Junk" in one location. This was a New Years project for me and I tried my best to have all my supplies close within reach. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Any thoughts? Suggestions?

Podette,

Thank you and welcome to the site :D

The lights are "Ott Lite"; they are full spectrum bulbs that are supposed to prevent eye fatigue and are ideal for hobbies, reading, crafts, etc. http://www.ottlite.com/

I purchased these at Michael's crafts stores (if you live in the U.S. you most likely know what I'm talking about). These lights are not cheap but I purchased mine with a 50% off coupon I printed off the Michael's website. I have also found Ott Lite bulbs at Home Depot (or maybe it was Lowe's) that are much cheaper and fit a standard bulb socket.

To be honest, I'm not entirely happy with these specific lights. They vibrate/buzz lightly and when you are painting in a quiet room late at night that can get annoying. The bulbs probably could be replaced though (I've had these a year or so), I don't recall them vibrating when they were newer.

Hope that helps!
